The Biscuit Bakers was started after the October 7th tragedy when a group of women came together to try and make a difference in the lives of our brothers and sisters in Israel. They decided that baking and selling biscuits and chocolates could be an avenue to raise badly needed funds.
Emunah was chosen because as a religious, Zionist organisation it had a long-established history of supporting vulnerable children, families and communities.
The Emergency Appeal that was initiated in response to the war seemed the perfect conduit for the Biscuit Baking initiative.
Funds raised so far have been allocated to assist specialist trauma therapy for vulnerable children and their families who have been impacted by the war.
In response to a recent request from World Emunah the Biscuit Bakers are now equipping a therapeutic kitchen in Sderot. As well we have been funding children who have been relocated from their homes to go to summer camps.
A more recent initiative has been providing funds for Bat Mitzvah girls.
